TRAFFIC CONTROL AT THE END OF THE SCHOOL DAY
Dear Parents/Carers,
Please be advised that from Monday 16th September, there will be a traffic control system in place at the end of the school day. This will be to prevent cars being driven up to the Main school gate.
We have had to take this action because we are increasingly concerned about the safety of our students due to both the high volume of traffic at the end of the day, and the speed at which some parents/carers are driving.
We would appreciate your support for our staff in this matter, who will challenge parents driving up to the front of the school.
Please note that:
Parking in front of the school gates puts students at risk of being injured.
Rule 243 of the Highway Code states that parking in front of, or near a school entrance, is not permitted.
Parking is also not permitted anywhere that blocks access to emergency services.
Thank you for your support in ensuring we can keep all members of the school community safe.
