We welcomed 78 pupils and staff from Front Lawn Primary Academy today to watch a #Christmas movie 🍿 Pupils earned their silver band #reward for excellent behaviour this term. We will be serving Christmas Lunch🎄to all our #students and #staff on Tuesday 16 December between 12pm and 2pm. The school will be funding all meals on this day #merrychristmas2025🎅 We will still offer a break one food service at 10:30 if students need to purchase a snack or drink before their Christmas lunch. Year 7 #students were given the opportunity to participate in a #poetry workshop with Chris Redmond, a professional poet who has performed in 20 countries on five continents with features on BBC Radio 1, 2, 4, 6Music and Sky Arts. It was fantastic to see how year 7 explored their creativity and made some poems about their favourite objects. This was an event organised by the National Literacy Trust as part of #youngpoets Week. Today we held our Silent Disco for students who have previously achieved 100% attendance and students who attained the top 10 attitude to learning within their year groups. Student's (and staff) loved the atmosphere and a fantastic time was had by all with some serious dance moves on display 🕺 🪩 We are holding another Silent Disco for 100% attendees on Monday 15 December. Students who achieve 100% attendance between 02 and 12 December will be invited to this event. Last week the Year 7 and Year 8 #netball teams were back in action. The Year 7 only had 1 game this week and beat Warblington. Kirsty was voted #playerofthematch for the 4th time in a row! The Year 8 team also played Warblington this week and won with Cherish and Poppie both scoring goals. More games to come next week. Well done girls! Some safeguarding info for Roblox... We have been made aware of a pop-up that is appearing on Roblox, encouraging children to download an app called pollybuzz (or pollyfuzz in some spelling cases). The app seems quite simple where children are asked questions, and it generates an Artificial Intelligence ‘friend’ – this starts off quite innocently but then begins to show extreme content. Always think before clicking on pop-ups in games and report anything that is worrying or inappropriate to a trusted adult.

This morning Miss Dillon-Thiselton and students #celebrated October’s #GalleryofExcellence. Each month students are nominated for work to be entered into the Gallery of Excellence for outstanding pieces of work. Each student received an Amazon voucher and their work will be displayed for the next month. Congratulations to all October nominations #excellence #RaisingAspirations
